Staying at Hale Pau Hana is always special — but the holiday season has an extra touch of magic! Sunset strolls on the beach, sandy toes, and afternoon naps in the sun are the perfect way to escape the winter chills. Whether you’re getting festive on your lanai, perusing local holiday markets, or visiting the famous Lahaina banyan tree aglow with lights, Maui is the perfect place to spend the holidays.
When you stay at Hale Pau Hana, you’re home. Over the years we’ve seen guests build sandmen after a dip in the ocean, make holiday cocktails to sip with new friends, and string lights on everything from pineapples to mini Christmas trees. We love seeing all the different ways our ‘ohana celebrate the season!
You didn’t think that Santa would miss an opportunity to visit Hale Pau Hana did you? Kids — and kids at heart — won’t want to miss this beach landing, directly in front of the grounds on Kamaole Beach II with the Kihei Canoe Club. Check our Events page for when you can spot St. Nick and make sure you’ve got your wishlist ready!
The holiday season is a special time all around Maui! Lahaina’s famous banyan tree is a must-see, and will be wrapped in thousands of Christmas lights all season long. While you’re there, consider buying locally made crafts and artwork for gifts. The shops in Paia, Whalers Village in Kaanapali and the Shops at Wailea in Wailea are also the perfect place to pick up some festive goodies!
Mahalo to long time ‘ohana @liveluvaloha, @heidilightfull, @ttyson54, and Joan S. for sharing your photos! Anyone else getting into the Christmas spirit? Check availability here for your next holiday!
